Welcome to TheBeerQuestGame
I really appreciate you taking the time to have a look at the evolution of the original demo. I received great feedback from breweries and players, and genuinely believe that the BeerQuest is a tool that you are going to love using. The demo proved that this game gets people through your doors, spending real money! And, it's great for existing customers too. Everyone loves playing a game and now you can invite everyone to play yours.
This has been a passion project for three years now, and I am incredibly thankful for all the support I have been shown by breweries and sponsors. To me, (and many players), Craft Beer truly is a community, and we are all so happy to be a small part of it.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
Shawn

Test the game like a real player on mobile
A few quick notes before you go try the game like a real player: - This is the mobile version which differs from the app in design. Not functionality. -Feel free to make submissions, play trivia, and make sure you check out SideQuests. - When making general beer claims, use the fake brewery "Cowtown Brewing" - The system will not accept claims from any brewery names not participating in the game. - Click 'Claim Beer', select any of the 100+ styles, read the evaluation notes and history, enter Cowtown Brewing as venue, fill out form, submit. Now watch your leaderboard change, and if you go back to claim beer again, you will see the beer you just had is now green and has a counter, making it easy later on to see what beers you have had. All claims also go to your beer log. Also notice your stats box and position on the leaderboard have changed. - Go to SideQuests and if you choose a "BeerQuest" one, same rules as above apply. But, if you choose a brewery or sponsor quest, you MUST use the name of the brewery who's quest you are doing. This is how it works if you create your own quests. Style Quests say you MUST have 'these' styles Visit Quests are any beer, as long as you are at that brewery Multipliers are visit quests,(available in 3x, 5x, 10x) that give bonus points to players helping them go up the leaderboard. Custom Quests- These are where you can add whatever you want to the game. - Play Trivia. Each week 3 new questions are released. Check your leaderboard. _ Notice the notification delivery system, this is where you will communicate with players too. - Check out the map and glossary as well. Test the Brewery Dashboard at Cowtown Brewing - designed for desktop
A few quick notes before testing as a fake brewery: - The Dashboard works best on Desktop - This is what your dashboard will work like - Check out the depth of analytics. It shows you what is happening in your neighbourhood (5km and 10km from your brewery) as well as the entire province. - You can create all types quests here. Feel free to test it out and make your own quest. - You can see your quest inventory. - You can add more prizes (if you want) - You will see all claims made at your brewery. If you have a claim that you want to remove from your contests and the monthly draw, you can remove it and that claim no longer counts towards prizes. The player is NOT notified. When a random monthly winner selects one of your prize pool items, you will get an email directing you to the dashboard where you can click "Send Instructions" and you can deliver a message to that player on how to get their prize. It appears on their notification panel in the game. The same system applies when a random person from the pool of players that complete your quests is chosen. What Is BeerQuest?
BeerQuest is a community exploration game proven to drive real visits to local breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Players explore participating venues, discover new beer styles, complete challenges, and compete for prizes, all while supporting local craft beverage businesses. The platform turns craft beverage discovery into a world-wide game, encouraging players to travel between venues, try new products, and return to breweries again and again. Participation for breweries is simple: $156 per year ($13/month) and two small prizes to help seed the game’s prize pool. Where BeerQuest Fits Different platforms help people experience craft beer and their community in different ways. Untappd focuses on tracking beers. Ale Trails focus on maps. Location-based games like Pokémon Go encourage people to explore their cities. BeerQuest combines the best parts of all three by blending discovery, education, and real-world exploration into a single platform that motivates players to move between venues, discover new styles, and support local craft beverage businesses.
Onboarding
To participate in BeerQuest, breweries sign up for a $156 annual membership (just $13 per month) and provide two small prizes. Prizes When joining, breweries provide two small prizes that are added to the game’s general prize pool. This is for regional monthly draws. We typically recommend two $10 gift cards. This works well because a $10 card usually covers a beer for the winner, and they are more likely to stay and order another drink or food while they’re there. It also allows breweries to save larger prizes for their own Sidequests, where higher-value rewards can attract more attention and participation. Your Brewery Dashboard Every brewery membership includes access to the BeerQuest Brewery Dashboard, an all-in-one tool designed specifically for breweries, distilleries, and wineries. The dashboard gives you full control over your participation in the game. From here you can create and manage Sidequests, attach prizes, promote specific beers or products, and track how players are engaging with your venue. BeerQuest combines the benefits of passport programs, contests, ale trail–style discovery, and promotions into a single platform, but with incentives, tracking, and analytics built in. Once your quests are set up, the system runs automatically in the background, encouraging players to visit your brewery while giving you clear insight into what’s working. One of the most valuable parts of the dashboard is the geographic activity insights. Breweries can see player engagement within 5 km, 10 km, and across the entire province, helping you understand where your visitors are coming from and how far BeerQuest is reaching. What BeerQuest Delivers for Your Brewery • Digital passport-style programs • Contest and challenge campaigns • Ale trail–style engagement with built-in incentives and analytics • Educational beer style storytelling tools • Social beer logging that drives repeat visits • Prize-driven engagement loops • Fully automated campaigns — set it up once and it runs itself What You Can See in Your Dashboard • Total participants • First-time visitor percentage • Quest completions • Player beer claims, ratings, and notes • Prize claims • Engagement trends over time • Player activity by region • Activity within 5 km and 10 km of your brewery • Province-wide engagement insights • CSV export of participant data These insights help breweries understand how players are discovering and interacting with their beers What It Drives • Increased foot traffic • Measurable engagement • Incremental spend • Repeat visits • Brand awareness beyond your taproom BeerQuest turns exploration into a game and your dashboard shows exactly how that game is bringing players through your doors. Creating Sidequests Sidequests are optional challenges breweries can create to highlight their beers and bring players into their venue. Each Sidequest asks players to complete a specific task — such as trying one of your beers, visiting your brewery, or completing a themed challenge you design. When players complete the quest before the deadline, they’re entered into a draw for the prize attached to that quest. Our system randomly and automatically selects one winner from the pool of players that completed your quest. Sidequests are flexible and can be customized to promote whatever you want players to try. You can feature specific beer styles, create Visit Quests that reward players just for coming to your brewery and having any beer, or add multipliers where players get bonus points just for visiting you, moving them higher up the leaderboard. You can also include custom items such as food pairings, cider, seltzers, cocktails, or any other product you want players to experience. Players browsing the game can also sort Sidequests by prize value, meaning higher-value prizes naturally attract more attention and more participation. Sidequest Pricing Sidequests are designed to be simple and affordable. $10 per quest item $10 per month that the quest runs This allows breweries to control both the size of the quest and how long it stays active in the game. Example If you create a quest featuring four of your core beers: 4 quest items × $10 = $40 If you run the quest for 3 months: 3 months × $10 = $30 Total cost: $70 This allows you to promote over a longer period while keeping the cost very manageable.
